23rd July, commenced the 1st day of the two day Bollywood event “An Evening with the Stars” hosted by Hindu Council of Kenya – Kisumu Branch.
As a tribute to 100 years of Indian Cinema, the audience were taken back through the black & white era all the way to the latest hits of 2016.
Dylan Patel, Vinita Kakkad and Bijal Mehta, three very talented choreographers with over sixty participants set the stage on fire at the Planet Media Cinemas over the 2 days. Dance performance from “Shola Jo Bhadke” to “Chaiya Chaiya” to “Kar Gayi Chul” held the audience captive and vocals by Bhavita Mandavia and Drasti Kakkad were also well appreciated.

After the interval, a Musical on Laila Majnu, the famous tragic love story, stole the show and became the icing on the cake.
Shobhna Shah and Niyam Shah, organisers of “An Evening with the Stars” also hosted the show as emcees. More than two months of practice and hard work by Shobhna Shah, her organising team, choreographers and participants produced a very catchy, captivating and glamorous evening for the Indians of Kisumu.
The 1st event was graced by Chief Guest, Mr Ashok Rupshi Shah & Mrs. Raval who attended all the way from Nairobi.
